Microgreens are  tiny, edible greens grown from the seeds of  vegetables and herbs. They're smaller than baby greens but larger than sprouts.

Sometimes microgreens are confused with sprouts which are germinated in a moist, dark environment that can be susceptible to contamination. Instead, microgreens are a variety of edible immature greens, with leaves and a developed root system grown in soil or some other medium. Microgreens are harvested with scissors less than a month after germination, when the plants are up to 2 inches tall.

Microgreens make vibrantly hued garnishes to salads, sandwiches, and soups. They add crunch and surprising flavor to many dishes. Check out some suggested recipes!
